Hi from the UK
Hi can anyone help, I acquired my 4 year old leopard tortoise last Oct. and have been looking forward to putting her in our lovely walled garden on a nice warm day, but she hates it. She makes straght for the nearest bush and hides in the dark. Im forever putting her back on the lawn and in the sunshine where it's warm but she won't have it. I can't even persuade her with her faverate food. I tried putting her in an enclosure on the lawn but she gets stressed trying to get out.The funny thing is she's fine indors. Its such a shame as she is not getting any exercise outside.

Hello, they can take months or much longer getting confident with you and her new home/outside run so just be very patient with her she will be well worth the effort. Out of interest what do you call a warm day, because we have so far this year only had one day that our leopard Hectors been able to enjoy his outside run in Lancashire.

Hi thanks for the advice. Yes Amy is getting a lot more adventurous now that I am able to leave her out longer than the hour or so she had last week - thanks to the beautiful weather we are experiencing here in the West Country at the moment.*
