I'll def order some but can someone help me - i struggle to grow weeds! Bought a propogator recently and they started growing but then all dies. Thought it was because they were indoors - put them outside and it finished them off.

I have been planting then in the top soil i use for torts - is this bad for the seeds?

Thanks

I lost all mine with topsoil I tried again with the garden soil, poor soil is needed...Not topsoil or mp compost...This is for growing weeds...If you wanna grow pansys, viola etc then use mp compost. On Sarahs SW page there is a link for advice on successful weed growing...I'll find it...Here..http://www.shelledwarriorsshop.co.uk...eeds-166-c.asp Good luck!!

Ohh and keep indoors until cold snap has gone, or the frost/cold will kill them

Thanks for posting the link

I buy soil from wilkinsons you know the cheap 99p packs and grow mine in that.
Over watering is the biggest killer, even when you do water make sure you dont drown the soil, this kills them. Just a light sprinkling of water

Hi Sarah Thats ok, the more that know the better! I didnt know until I you sent the link to me via email. So you leave the soil to dry out then a little sprinkle? I always worry when dry so water, thats prob why I didnt do to well. This time I seem to be doing it right. Thanks Claire

Hi there, i received a top tip off someone with regards to growing weeds, they told me to mix half and half top soil and vermiculite in a container ( this helps the roots to spread) i bought a bag from my local home base and planted them on wednesday and by friday they were about half an inch high and now its sunday they are over an inch high, i put water in the trays below so they can soak up as much as needed, seems to be working so far!
