red foots biting and fighting
My two reds have started biting each other and pushing each other about but am not sure why they have always been good with each other should I split them up ?

Hi we have 2 reds aswell and they are 8 inches long. We have one male and one female, and have noticed this behaviour in recent times. It seems that our female is the one doing the biting and our male does the fighting. Like you Nikki we fed our two as well and it seems to have stopped for now. I have no idea why this is happening and am glad you asked this question. Like you we are worried about this, dont want them hurting each other. Is it just a hunger thing or is it a dominance thing?

From what your both saying its a hunger thing that just escalates from there. Maybe feeding more at one sitting or feeding 2 or 3 times a day may help.
