Great info now we know where she should slow down, after 2kg I will keep an eye on her weight/ size ratio more until then I won't worry too much.

Hi,
Is there an average age/size. my star is 15mths old and still only 2" and about 55g. She seems health, active and eats well.

all torts are different so they grow at different rates. I have 4 stars by 2 different UK breeders my the first, which i have mentioned in a previous message are as big as the ones in the pic, my youngest 2 (2yrs) are no way near the size/weight of the first 2 when they were that age.

It could possibly be were the gene pool originated from (it was mentioned the parents were from sri lanka), it also could be food (they all more or less get the same types just diff amounts) are it may just be as simple as their all different.
