I just have to say this is very true. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's learned from it.

Thank you, unfortunately we often learn the hard way but as you say Vets only get a half day on these animals we see them day in day out. I have 3 vets I use some local some up to 80 miles away it is with their help that I ah
have the knowledge now. I do hope this little one makes it through.

Thank you, i know some of you are helping and supporting, i was just fed up of people making assumptions when i had'nt said i didn't contact the vets.

I am in contact with John Chitty, a reptile vet about pumpkin.

Don't worry about that Bindi.

Just gave my vet another call, and i'm taking Pumpkin in on Friday.
He has said stop trying to syringe feed until then, keep him warm all the time and 2 baths a day.

Personally - I would take any of my animals to the vets for a firm diagnosis - where my animals health is concerned I could not deal with assumptions.

I appreciate there are a few very experienced keepers on here and I for one have valued their opinions on more than one occassion but I also follow it up with a vets appointment.

The nature of any thread is to gain opinions and this will always raise different concerns.

Jemma I wish you well with your little one - I have seen John Chitty in Hythe he is very good.
