Poor Lily!
He will be fine, the vet will sort it!

It will be so quiet for you without him, but sure it will just be 1 night!

Thanks everyone. Yes it's so weird and quiet without him here. I keep looking at his flop pillow where he's been sleeping with the warm weather...and how I wish there was something I could have foreseen. I've been out to the spot and there's a little puddle of blood...but I cannot see the nail and I can't see where it could have happened. There's nowhere I can see where he could have caught it. Just not sure how to safe proof something that I can't find where the problem is.
He can't go outside for the time being anyway, he'll be pissed at that. xx
I miss him...

Yeah that is odd, possibly caught it on a root or something?
Nothing can ever be 100% safe, Buzz once badly broke a nail jumping up at my leg and caught it on my jeans, never done so before never since. May have just been a fluke if you can't see anything that would have caused it

Yeah I mean I was on my hands and knees looking...there's just soil there, few lumps and bumps, but nothing that sticks out or looks like it could catch him. Feel so bad for him, poor little sod...bet it hurts xx

How odd, maybe it was something close by and he had walked on a bit before he really noticed?

Yeah, but he will be being looked after by the vet, they wont let him be too sore!

It must be really strange for you without him but you know you have done the best thing for him and he is being well looked after. I'm sure he will be home soon good as new.

Aww, hugs Rach. They'd have stopped the bleeding already I expect. At the vets where my son works they check on inpatients at 9pm, 12am, 3am and 6am, so if it's the same where Lils is, they'll keep a close eye on him.
Let us know how he's doing tomorrow please. I'll be thinking of you both. X

He's on his way home. They stopped the bleeding! He's not settled most of the night..
But he's coming home to mum! xx
I'll get some flour, Wend & Emma. Did you say either cornflour or just plain? And this should stop the bleeding? It won't clog anything up will it? xx
