why has this happened i bath them two/three times a week for about twenty mins

he is just sat in the bath now

Hi Rachael,

Keep up the baths, this might help stimulate him to pass the stone.

If you are bathing 2 to 3 times a week then there shouldnt be any problems, unless your temps are high in your table, or he isnt going into his water bowl / dish for a drink.

It could just be one of them things thats just happened, priority now is to get him passing the stone, and daily baths until he is back to normal.

I hope he is sorted out soon.

so is it ok for the stone just be sat there in his bum then for a day or two

i am meant to be going out tonight

so am worrying he is just trying to climb out of his bath

Soaking him will help soften the stone. Which hopefully will help the vet to break it up. If he
does not pass it himself.

just got back from vets and he got it out took him fifteen mins it was as big as a malteser

he got some bent scissors and prised it out

his bum hole is like left gaping he said it will go back within two days so i have put him in a separate table without hemp as i dont want any going up there

going to bath him daily from now on on his own so i can check if hes doing anything

couldnt find any newspaper so had to use tv mag

any suggestions ???

thanks for advice chaps much appreciated

the stone was rock hard as well like a bit of gravel

Aww bless him, you are advised right, no hemp, on his own and keep up the baths.

Lets hope he get back to normal real soon.
