Linda, Viv, fellow Midlanders....
Hold fire on buying any pumpkin for your torts... we are having a HUGE pumpkin carving competition at work and I'm sure there will be lots of spare. More than happy to deliver! |

I took my herman tort to our local vets for worming. the vet herself wasn't keen on the idea of worming her as she has no knowledge of torts, but one of the nurses re homes sick torts and is used to stomach tubing torts. It cost me £6 for the treatment in total (3 doses). Much easier than trying to do it myself!!

liquid wormer
If anyone is interested there is a liquid horse wormer called panacure guard it contains fenbendazole and is in a 225ml bottle. Most equestrian shops sell horse wormers but you have to state you own horses and give a name and address. Or you can usually buy them online (you still have to state you own horses but you may know someone with horses who already has these wormers) they are always cheaper online and delivey is usually free. there are also liquid puppy and kitten wormers. A really good site with a good catalogue that sells all sorts of animal pharmacy is equine pharmacy direct. web site is www.hyperdrug.com and they are very helpful/
Hope this is some help to someone |
