Lights question
EDIT> Sorry, answering my own question here but I have now found info on this and it does work okay with the Solar Glo bulbs.
Can anyone tell me if the 25cm Exo Terra Glow Light Clamp Lamp & Reflector is suitable for the Solar Glo 125 watt bulbs? I have been reading what bulbs are suitable for it but it doesn't mention the Solar Glo. I currently have a Zoo Med clamp lamp at 22cm but wanted a bigger reflector to spread the light further as I have increased the size of the enclosure a bit. The 25cm Exo Terra is cheaper than the 25cm Zoo Med but do they do the same job? Last edited by Alan1; 18-12-2008 at 12:29 PM. |

A bigger reflector will not necessarily increase light foot print, i have a feeling the solar-glo direct all light down so the best way to increase light in the enclosure is to add lights or raise the height of the bulb.
If you add a reptisun 2.0 light tube that will give a good balanced light, they don't give off any usable UVB but the CRI is very good. And will help balance the light spectrum. Dazza |

I have made the enclosure double the size though with a separator in between so that they effectively have an enclosure each
