Rats!
Now I know who was stealing my bird food this winter. I blamed it on to the fox who visit our garden at night time, but it looks like the culprit was the rat. We spotted a kite in our garden few weeks ago, hope he will stay in the area and kill a few.
Rat on a tree, she was very bold. Regrettably I did not have anything to kill it, no ranged weapons. So far the kite killed a pigeon (so we think). It looked like a pile of snow in the middle of our front lawn, I could not get where it came from, it was not snowing that day. The Saturday after we saw the kite finishing his prey under the hedge.

Oh yuck, I hate rats. Any tortoise keepers worse nightmare. You will have to try and "remove" them before the tortoises go out for the summer.
