Found Tortoise looking after for 2 weeks
Hi,
Our neighbours tortoises wondered down the road and someone dropped him off at ours. We contacted them to find out if they still wanted it which they do but there away for 2 weeks and have asked us to look after him!!!! Because of this we can't buy a tortoise table or anything like so really don't know what to do. With no experience in tortoises has anyone got any suggestions on how to care for him best? Last night be slept in the garage and is in the garden today. Thank you, |

Can you pop us a pic so we can see how big / small he is? Do you know the species and how did the neighbours care for him? Nice to see a "found" tortoise and well done you for taking him on After two weeks, when you give him back, wouldn't be surprised if you got your own

Tortoise
I have attached the pics he is absolutely lovely. I would love to keep him I think they just let him roam round the garden he's been lost at least 6 times and this time was found down the street!!! I offered to keep him but they are not interested.I know he is about 3 years old and maybe 7 inches? I don't know what species he is but I think he is a horsefield tortoise.

You need to use a hosting site like photo bucket

If the weather is nice he can be outside, but for just 2 weeks a big (very big) storage box with some top soil or coco coir and a heat lamp (even just a desk lamp) for some warmth
