Garden soil would do, it's only to stop them from rolling and dry would be better, wet soil or compost could crack the eggs, so you may want to change the wet compost for dry. Good luck.

Oh how wonderful...wish I could find some eggs in my females bed, I've already got everything, incubator, vermiculite, etc.....just need some eggs lol

If at all possible, I'd get an incubator. It's going to be hard to keep the temperature and humidity at the right levels as you have them set-up now. Temperatures of 28C to 32C and air humidity levels of 70% to 80% are what you want to shoot for.
