Stay calm , no need to panic. Pop them in an egg box so they don't roll, they will be fine for up to a week at room temps until you can organise an incubator.

Maybe they laid them as a surprise for your birthday Sue.
Good luck with the eggs. Remember to keep them in the same position you found them and mark the top so you know which way up they should be. Good luck with incubating them.
I had to get an incubator in a hurry when Tabitha surprised me last year and I phoned all the exotics shops locally, on a Sunday too! Luckily one was open and had one in stock.
Great that there's the offer of Mark's incubator if you get stuck.

Lol we all panic when its the first eggs, I remember it so well:0)
Eggs can be fine left for a few days, even if they have been laid in the ground or on the ground.
If you have an airing cupboard, heated propagator, heat matt for an unheated propagator, then you have lots of options. As long as the eggs are kept the same way up (generally mark the top so they don't get turned with a pencil) and warm, if they are fertile they can still hatch. You do have time to get an incubator:0) and still have fertile eggs.

Thank you so so much friends,
Mark I cant get over to Rochdale but that's a very kind offer, thank you.
I have marked them with a pencil and written the date on in pencil (it happens to be my wedding anniversary 37years today)
I found a large plastic tub and placed some potting compost in the bottom then laid some straw on top of that, put the eggs on top and covered them over with a good layer of straw and placed the tub under a heat lamp.
I also watered the compost.
The eggs are now snug and warm so fingers crossed.
I live in a bungalow so have no airing cuboard.
Thanks again
Sue
Ooo forgot to ask any ideas wether she may lay some more
