My new redfoot please help
She seems fine wandering about her enclosure but when I bath her she opens her mouth and squeaks, it's like a creaking sound
She has no bubble or wetness at her nose after bathing and twice she has yawned this morning- a wide yawn! And I can see right in to her mouth and it's clear so nothing in her airway? But then out of the bath she seems fine wandering about. She also seems very light but I have seen her eating, and she was light when I got her I'm going to keep my eye on her for any r n s signs and I'm going to start bathing get twice a day instead of one Her temps under light are around 35 and in cool end about 25 I spray her more than twice a day any advice would be great I'm gonna try and get her poo tested |

hiya linds, dont know much about red foots, but as she is new to you perhaps its just that she does not like baths
i have a horsefield that opens mouth and hisses when she comes across something new/strange to her |

I think it may be the bath, and thinking about it sometimes when I spray her she opens her mouth. Il keep my eye on her, iv phoned my local vet and there is a lady there who specialises in reptiles so if I see anymore signs il get them to give her a check up.
Aren't they a worry! |

Hiya Linds
If she doesn't 'squeak' at any other time, only when bathing her I wouldn't be too worried, however if she does it when yawning/eating I'd investigate it further, just in case... Em

I keep her in the living room so i imagine altho the temps will drop, it wil stil be reasonably warm as i have the heating on and the gas fire! [i feel the cold easy!] on all evening until about 11.30 pm sometimes midnight |

Heya, I was wondering what my night temps were so I brought a digital thermometer from boots (about £11) that records min and max temps. Just leave it by the enclosure over night and it'l tell you what the temps drop down to in the night time.
