Red staining on plastron from pellets
Just a quick post. My heart nearly stopped a few days days ago when I noticed a red colouring on the plastron on a couple of my torts. My thoughts turned to septacaemia but after looking at some of the pics I think EJ posted before I deceided not plus torts were fine healthwise. Anyway I've now decided it was red colouring from komodo pellets I occasinally feed. I stuck one on the underside of one of my other torts and on checking today sure enough it had stained red. Just incase something similar happens to anyone else just thought I'd share! And the staining takes a while to shift!

Yes, and it takes a good week or two to disappear.
