Default Bedding?!

so iv been thinking i would add some kind of "bedding" for me wee man to sleep on, what is ok to use it=f anything!.. i have calce sand substrate made for torts.

edit:wee man = hermans tort..

chris the calci sand has caused impactation in the past

I have topsoil but put readigras sin the hide area and my horsfield seems to snauggel down in that quite happily.

I use Topsoil with no probs at all I use Homebase Topsoil £3.99 a big bag! Beware though as this time of year its cold/wet lol....All I do is keep in the house to dry out(Cut the top off for air to get in) simples!!!
I got a bag before xmas and it was frozen solid lol...wasnt a prob, just defrosted in front of rad! once the lamps get to it, it drys out quick!!

I could mix the sand with topsoil?? say 20% sand 80% untreated topsoil?

readi grass as in what horses eat?? the stuff you soak with water and expands?? no problems with them eating it??

hate to bump but im worried about this calci sand and could reallly do with sum advice on which topsoil other than the homebase stuff as im going to get it first thing in morning..

B&Q topsoil is just as good as any other. I'd go with just topsoil. Kelly (stells) uses just topsoil and it's worked just great.
