Default Hibernation Length

I know this is probably a bit late!! But my torts are still in hibernation, they have been in for about 9/10 weeks so far and haven't lost any weight really, I think they may have lots 1 or 2 grams here and there but overall are very stable. One of the torts is 4/5years and the other 2 are 2.5 years. They are all Hermanns. They have all hibernated before at least 1/2 times so what length of time do you think they should stay in for?

Thanks

Older ones can do four months easily. I would suggest getting them out at the end of March as they are doing so well.

End of March would be good as it would give them time to start gaining weight for next years hibernation & hopefully not long before some nice weather for them then too.

I just leave mine til they wake - they went down end of November and woke up 3 weeks ago and last week but I wouldnt have woken them up if one hadnt broken out of his box, fallen down 4 foot and was found behind my box of tortoise equipment-just looked at me as if to say 'Hi, I'm awake-feed me!'
