Tort Tables
I've genuinely had enough of looking at tables and deciding they're not good enough or they're too expensive.
So can someone suggest some good places to get a tortoise table from, and I'll just have to take the plunge and order one in the next fortnight so I can't start getting equipment in place. Thanks, |

Do you have basic DIY skills? They are simple to make.

You can use a bookcase or similar furniture turned on it's back and remove the shelves. If you buy a bookcase make sure it doesn't have one of those paper thin backs or buy some wood and replace the back. Failing that check eBay-mine was a fiver

Yes Tom Booth makes great tables and will make whatever you want. I am due to take delivery of a two tier table each with an additional floor in them.
He has made a lot of tables for people on this forum, that was how I found him. But I used bookcases on their back for years, they are cheap, you get whatever size you need. I know that people also use indoor rabbit cages as well. They are large, easy to clean, and safe if you have other pets, plus you can get two or three tier ones incase you want to add to your collection! Last edited by gwenq; 07-02-2012 at 08:55 AM. |

Secret Garden (secret-tortoise member name on here) is top notch too for not just tables but outdoor stuff as well http://www.secretgardenwoodcraft.com...s/procart2.htm
I wonder how much and what size the twin sunroof lodge is, never seen that on there before but it's not listed in the prices Last edited by Alan1; 07-02-2012 at 09:34 AM. |

That's the one! I knew there was another tort table builder on here, couldn't remember the name. I have seen a few pictures of their tables and they look great as well.

Nice little tort houses on secret garden but ever so expensive, im ordering an outside 6 x 4ft pen, and a 6 x 3ft indoor table from tom booth at very reasonable prices, i already had a table biult under the stairs, i can store it away until they get older (but at todays prices) you can get a quote from tom in the classified forum x

I didn't think they were all that expensive considering the quality of timber used
