Weed around my house...ID please
Hi all, I had a walk this afternoon and checked out the weeds alongside the river. Could anyone please ID them and tell me if they are edible for tortoise? (Sorry photo quality not very nice - iphone...)

The first one looks like stickybud, which is edible

1.sticky bud-edible 2.Dandelion plus could be dock or type of ragwort-only dandelion ok 3.clover/speedwell-edible 4.Bramble-ok when young but avoid any thorns 5.Hedge Parsley-NO in all its forms 6.Stinging nettle-it's dead nettle you can feed not that one 7.Jack-by-the-Hedge-edible if they like it-v garlicky smell 8.Thistle-any of them but not when old and very prickly 9.As 5 |

Ooh i'm getting good at this! I'd have put exactly the same as above!
I hear a lot of people's tort's won't touch jack by the hedge. Mine loves it, worth a try, it smells nice. X

second batch ..
1. looks mostly like coltsfoot leaves (not the light ones in the middle though), not sure if edible 2. nettle? not sure, too close 3. don't know but not edible 4. don't know 5. ivy, not rdible 6. meadowsweet, i think it may be edible but not sure 7. wild garlic, not edible and stinking of onions 8. don't know, a tree of some kind, not edible 9. wild garlic again 10. cleavers (sticky bud) ok in moderation |

No 1 contains nipplewort,violet and maybe jack-by the hedge.These are all edible but there maybe other things in there that aren't.Best to try and single things out if possible

1. yes, I think what I thought might be coltsfoot is in fact nipplewort and jack by the hedge the light one in the middle I think

The large roundish/heart shaped leaves in no'1 look like Winter Heliotrope - Petasites fragrans which is non edible
