Hi. I don't know Jacqui personally and have never met her but I have seen her posts on other tortoise forums over a long period of time and these suggest she is serious about tortoise welfare, knows a great deal about them and has been committed to getting things right for them.

I cannot speak from personal experience of buying a tortoise from Jacqui but if I was in your position I would take things further and meet her, maybe go and see her enclosures if she is OK with that. Most of us here that are keen would agree with the contents of her web pages as well.

Just read this on her website Ozric

Quote:
No visits to our home in order to protect my group. My tortoises are family pets and i would not risk any compromise to their safety. My address details will not be disclosed.

Just looked at Jacki's site and looks pretty good with sound advice. I'd take things further with her. Sound like she'd be happy to chat informally to you.

Sorry I didn't see that bit about no visits. Some breeders do not allow visits because of security worries etc. This doesn't mean they are not good breeders.
