Default Female Hermanni

I'm looking for female THH, preferably not too far from London!

I'm not worried about age or size as long as it's definitely a female hermanni - if anyone is looking for a male and would consider a swap I have a nice male available and would be quite happy to pay a bit on top for the right female!

Sadly there is an astronomical gap between the 'worth' of a female of this subspecies relative to a male.

I wish you luck in your search but unless you come across someone who doesn't know the value of what they have I doubt you'll have much success with the swapping idea. A hermanni which is a definite female is likely to go for a fair bit.

I'm aware of that which is why I said I'd pay on top!

Sorry Daisy if I was sounding unhelpful there.

Not at all! 😉

But after buying 2 supposedly female torts that have both turned out to be male, I'm obviously still on the look out for confirmed females - if I can rehome one of my males along the way then great, but I will happily pay a decent price.... not that my husband will be impressed with that statement! 😊

I am!

I can only sell the older of the two as I haven't got the youngest one chipped yet, but he's a 2012 hatchling so almost 3!

I'll attempt to add a picture, but please don't think I'm rude in asking, do you already have torts and/or a setup ready? I'm only prepared to sell him to the right home, either with an experienced owner or someone that has done their research and has the necessary equipment to keep him!

Hi

Many thanks for getting back to me, I don't yet have the set up but I am willing to show photos of the home I can offer once I set everything up. This is the species of tort I am looking for as they stay small don't they.

I am currently researching about them, I am in the north east but I am willing to travel and I like the idea of rehoming an older male. I am in no rush to get one/him so I could get the things and see if your happy?

Very nice looking hermanni male if I may say so! He has that sort of trapezium shape which they often seem to. The females tend to look more rounded.

Nice pattern and colour.

Thanks Jonathon

Ksolo, that sounds fine but I'm in London which is a hell of a long journey for a tort!

There must be a breeder closer to you?
