Default How odd. Freak storm.

We have just got home from town and found there has been some sort of freak storm while we were gone. On the way out the rain was so heavy we couldn't see where we were going in the car. We went to B&Q and they had shut their outside area due to a sudden wind making it dangerous to go out there. There were pots and plants everywhere. When we were driving back all the road signs were blown down, and we are talking the massive green ones with info. We found we had had a power cut while we were gone too. There are things blown all over the garden. Very odd as there is no wind now and we didn't notice a thing.

That's strange Wendy, so did we at about 4.30, it was really odd, it just came from no where, a really strong gusting wind, it nearly knocked the fence over , hubby rushed out to tie the fence up , and then dark clouds and rain.

It must have been a tornado or something Suze. I'm not sure what time it happened here, must have been around 5.30ish. We were in the car so missed the wind but the rain was scary.

It went nearly as quickly as it came, it must have swept across the south from west to east, very strange.

How odd! It does sound freaky. We're forecast awful weather yet again tomorrow.
I had a new weather vane today, so I'm looking forward to seeing it at work.

I have just seen on the news that there was a football match abandoned due to wind and rain. It resumed shortly after.

It was bad here for literally 10 mins...has been bright all day then suddenly thunder and lightening, massive hailstorm, and i mean it was bolting down, then a bit more thunder and lightening then it stopped...very strange!

We had a bad thunder storm here about 3pm, it went really dark, high winds then the storm, it was over in a few minutes.
