Redfoot help again
I had to start a new topic as it needs to be read.
Rosie, the redfoot has been acting different. As I mentioned in other posts she has made squeekes and she is eating very little, tried pellets. She has been doing some full body stretches, she stands high on her four legs and stretches her head right to the top of her shell though she makes very little movement this action seems like it may be health related. She is currently sat with her head in her shell with mouth open. I'm trying to get her in local vets tomorrow but wondering if anyone has suggestions or had similar experience? Thanks |

Hey linds, does it sound like she's having trouble breathing? I know you've thought of this. head streaching up and mouth open is breathing issues. Get your ear real close to her head to listen and hear for any gurgling. With her mouth open did you look down with a light to see if anything is down her throat? Could be something is in there. Piece of food, substrate. If you can't fix it, i'm with you on the vet. Good luck. Hoping for the best.

Hi Linds,
Can't really add anything except to say I hope Rosie's ok and the visit to the vets gets to the bottom of it for you. |
