Default My poor baby :(

i had cecil at the vet today because his shell was getting a bit soft at the bottom and hes dragging his back legs along, the vet said it could be because i had him on the wrong calcium which was reptivite, im absolutely heart broken for him I was just told to keep him on the nutrabol, im just very worried about him, i remember when i first bought him he was dragging his back legs along but i taught nothing of it as i taught it was normal because he was a baby, i just wondered has anybody else had the same problem an if so what was the out come?

I find it hard to believe that calcium had anything to do with any of that. How long have you had him and how old is he?

It sounds to me like Cecil has metabolic bone disease (MBD). It sounds like Cecil's problem is not enough vitamin D3. It's going to be a long slow process to get him back to normal. If you can find liquid childrens vitamins with D3, I would use that in the water every time you soak Cecil.

Yep the vet said it seems he could have MBD just could think of the name of it I dont believe either that it was purely down to the calcium as i only changed from the nutrabol to reptivite about a month ago because they were out of nutrabol and told reptivite was just the same, also the fact that cecil was dragging his leg's when i bought him makes me think he already had mbd, Thanks for the help guys and i will keep use updated
