Default Scute has come off - advice please

The scute on my 78 year old has come off (see photos) I've treated with betadine as advised. Do I just leave it open? Thanks in advance

He doesn't seem bothered and is as active as can be. Feeding and enjoying the company of his partner... looks unsightly though ...��

Oh what ashame but don't suppose he's bothered!
I would just keep the area clean hibiscrub is good & keep aneye on it
Is it another male he lives with?
