Default Astilbe japonica/Spiraea

Does anyone feed this to their torts? TTT says leaves and flowers are edible.
It’s come up lovely in the garden but is so wispy I’m not sure mine would so much as look at it.
I’ll try them with it and see what happens but just interested whether anyone else grows it.
