Default Kane 'pig blanket' heaters

Has anyone used the above for tortoises before in the UK?
They are a rigid fibreglass heat pad, which seem to be recommended time and time again by people for larger tortoises.
I'm hoping to get a sulcata soon so want to check out all my options for a heat source( basking spot wise).
My rep garage is about 80F during the day so I don't have to worry about increasing the air temp thus thinking these may be perfect for me.
I'd set the heater so it didn't get hotter than 100F thus not getting hot enough to cause any probs.
I'd also obviously provide uv tubes as well.
Many thanks for your time
Dan

Hi Dan

I'm sure Ed Pirog who sometimes comes on here has experience with these. Seems to be more common in the US where I think more people keep larger species.

Might be something worth looking at here:
