Default Safe/Secure Outdoor housing help needed

Hi All

Its time I sorted something out for Teddy, Hubby won't have time now and I really don't want to wait ages. So Any suggestions on where I can buy something safe/secure and fox proof... I have a Horsfield so it must have a base so she cannot escape!
I also don't wish to spend an arm and a leg if I can help it So any advice would be Great! Thanks Claire

I did think that this would be an idea for an enclosure base for horsfields, soil on top . no doubt they won't be cheap though. individual cobbles or even keyblock paving spaced enough for drainage might do. I have wire netting but mine are hermanns and won't get down that far to where it is, it will stop anything geting in though. wire netting would possibly damage the legs of a horsfield attempting to dig beyond it

the other option is paving slabs or treated timber on it's edge sunk into the ground all the way round

I don't know how big your tort is but if its small argos etc were selling a wooden boat shaped sandpit it had a frame over it which could be removed it would be ok for a small tort having wooden sides and base, or how about joining freecycle.org and getting hold of an old bookcase or similar, remove the shelves lay it on its back, put some soil etc and there you go, as it was free it wouldn't matter if you only had a summer out of it. Theres no reason why any free container couldn't be used an 2nd hand preformed pond for example again they often come up on freecycle, (everything is free ). Scaffold planks make ideal barriers strong, the right height and good for attatching wire etc and again free from freecycle you can also request items on there.

How much were you looking at spending? I bought my house & run for £75 and the items inside were from £1 land, feel free to have a look at my little mens home!
