Ok so here is our HUGE news. Over the past few years we have been secretly redeveloping the tech behind M.V or combi lamps. Historically they have not been great. The Generation" D3 basking lamp is available from today and boasts, More light, More UVB, More heat, a WIDER UVB rich zone and less failure, fully tested at UVGUIDE. Sounds impressive. I'm always interested in new lamps but it would take a lot to make me switch back after having changed to T5 tubes. But I'll certainly check this out.

For sure a separate system is more usable in most systems but for those that choose to use MV this really is a C change in the tech, in fact it's the biggest improvement since the war!

Written and directed, I can see a move to Hollywood on the horizon

If they are an improvement on the last ones then they will be good because the last ones which I still have, still use and which still produce good levels of UVB after several years of use have been the best combi bulbs I've ever had.

Hi, John .... are these new versions out in the shops yet? Only I only see pictures of the old version online at all usual pet outlets. Regards, Mark

Yes, we are only selling generation 2 now so all new stock is greatly improved.

To be sure what is in stock with your chosen retailer I would simply call them and ask what they have in stock, gen1 or gen2

then insist on gen2

It is a FAR FAR FAR better lamp!

John, can I ask your advice please, do you recommend that the bulb be on for 12 hours constant, or have a timer to switch it on and off during the day? Regards, Mark
