Maybe I have watched mission impossible too many times, or maybe I have a future career as a special agent. ( am a sensible vet really).

Of course I was serious about the beams, people were looking for ways to secure tortoise tables, they fit the bill nicely. Obviously a lid and a padlock are far simpler, but it seems that if you give a straight foward answer to a question people get all upset about it.

And yes Maplins is very good for all your geeky needs.

first of all terry, i love the name thor! it really suits him

the main reason i write is because this whole topic seems to have got really silly from something quite small.
sorry but i dont know how to quote but linda said "different people interperet responses differently". well i dont know if it is my nievity or just not seeing bad in people but i did have a little chuckle at swads 1st post. if it was meant as anything other than a simple if not silly answer then i didnt realise!
i can now understand where you were comming from josh, but 100% honestly that was the same silly response i thought of. just VERY VERY glad i didnt write it!!!!!
dont know if i have just completely shot myself in the foot saying that. i just think it is real sad that something like this gets more posts than something of a tortoise nature in a lot of cases
