Habistat and Thermometer position ?

Hi, can anyone please advise me where the sensor for my Habistat should be and the position of the thermometer ?
Been to reptile shop today and was told having the sensor midway between the basking lamp and UV was wrong, even though this was where they told me to put it when I bought the Habistat from them

They have now said that I need to position the sensor and thermometer right at the very end of the cool end, and to set it at between 26-27c is this correct as I am now very confused.
Another question I have ordered them a Repti Glo 10 is this ok.

i always add my sensors close to the heat source as once that area has reached the correct heat then the temp will be fine. this means one end is hot and the other end it not as warm. whereas if u had the senor in the cold end and u want 85 f then the cold end would be hotter than the hot end as the heat source would keep raising until it go hot enough in the cold side, if you get me

i have 2 temps, hot side and cold side. althought you probs don't need two.

i have a thermometer at each end of the table

giving me the hot and cool temps

i dont use a thermostat with the day time uv heat bulb

i just raised the bulb to get the correct temps

at night i use a ceramic heater for the tropical torts

this is controlled by a thermostat whivh is placed on the substrate at the end they choose to sleep

I agree with Wildlife warrior, I have my temp sensor for the habistat at the hot end, the heat source is mounted 6inches or so in from this end, thus giving me habistat set temp at hot end, just above under heat source and low temp at the far end. I would monitor the hot end with the thermometer normally and check the cold end occasionally for instance to get the night time low and just see what its doing during the day.

I also use the reptiglo 10.0 which as far as I know is the best other that the powersun type lamps which need to be hung in a vertical fashion.
