Planting a tortoise table / viv
Any advice on plants that would survive in a tortoise table / viv where temperatures 80C

Hi,
I assume you are talking F farenheit not C centigrade. I dont think many plants would survive 80 degrees c let alone a tortoise. I have moved this to the housing section where it will get more response. Most of the tortoise friendly p,lants should be ok in a tortoise table, the main problem is they will be eaten in no time. Ade

Cacti are about the best to keep at those temps. All other plants either get eaten or die.

Ive given up using live plants in my garage they all die, i go for plastic ones

i have had great success with asparagus ferns creeping fig and yukkas in my inside tables
they all have done well for well even with the temps i have not seen any being eaten they do enjoy lying and climbing on the creeping fig but this plant is about 8 months old now and is still looking fairly good the fern and yukka |
