with a tort that size I suppose once it's heated up it will be able to go a while before it cools down whereas a small tort would be cold in 5 minutes

They do like the odd worm or snail, there's another border planted up but not much bit's and bob's. I used to heavy plant them but they trashed it of there fav's. So the plant's all in pot's now or i bring it in. They very rarely eat Dandilion.

Great pic! All of my meds love the rain too! Trouble is they do cool down quickly as Alan said and they never seem to have the energy to make it back to their huts! I came home at 8.30pm and everyone was still out, under shrubs and pots and things. Ona normal dry night they would long since have been in bed!
Have to admit Iris my smallest Hermanns is always partial to a snail or slug!
