Advice on Horsefield sex please
Hi,
I have a Horsefield called Simon, who I have owned for 6 years. I have had him since birth (well since a few months after birth once the breeder was happy to release him!) and I have never quite got round to getting him/her sexed. I have taken a few photos, but can't figure out how to attach them to the forum so firstly any advice on that would be appreciated, so I can upload! Thanks, Greg |

Dear Greg
Welcome to the forum. You need to have done 5 posts before you can upload pictures. Also your posts are moderated for the first 5 so will usually appear a day after, then they become live. You cannot place directly on the site but need to upload from something like Imgur.com. We used to use photobucket but you have to pay now.

Hi Jan,
Thanks for the advice - I'll get myself set up in Imgur in anticipation and get a few posts in so I can upload! Thanks again. |

The easiest way to tell gender with Russian Tortoises is the size if the tail. Males have a thick, long tail that they tuck in to the side. Females have a very small tail that usually points downward.

Females are bigger too, so if your boy is small he is probably a boy ! girls are rounder CB
