in my last table I hung it from the underside of the fire surround that the tortoises live around...

Ok so I want to get a uv tube. I think a 22inch t5 arcadia. What do I need to get along with this? A reflector? What size? And any other accessories? I am looking to fix this to a wall. Any tips? I am looking to buy these at shelled warrior shop.

It is plug and go. You get the electronics, special flood reflector and the lamp all included,

It can be fitted into a viv with 2 screws or placed easily over a tangle with the adjustable stand product code AO15.

It is HOT5, IP67 waterproof, totally flicker free and almost impossible to get to fail.

Lamps last a full 12 months and can be replaced easily.

Use alongside your stat controlled heat source.

Ok so my controller has now arrived and here is for another silly question.

My reflector came with 2 metal brackets and my controller a further 2 plastic ones with 2 screws and caps.

Does this go directly on the tube light as a way to attach the bulb to the reflector?

I agree, it seems just wrong to be attaching the clips directly onto the tube but even though I am a very clumsy oaf I have not broken a tube doing this. How are you getting on with fixing it to the wall Laura?

So we are all sorted now. I uv light and a basking light sorted. There seems to be a few differences in petey and I just wanted to check if this is usual behaviour

First of all I noticed he seems to like to climb to try and get closer to the light. I think he just seen something new and wanted to investigate

He now wants to fall aslep as soon as his lights go out whereever he falls asleep. He no longer toddles off to his bed in his corner. Today I came back from work and he had fallen asleep in his water dish so he was freezing when I got in. Had to try heat him up before putting him back in his bed.

Is there anything I can do to encourage him from settling down for the night whereever he is when the lights go out? He used to be really good at going to bed at the same time every day now he is out of a routine

He sounds perfectly normal... mine sometimes try and sleep in their water, no idea why... like you I always move them!!
Other than in the water bowl I wouldn't worry bout him not sleeping in him bed!
