Stella it's noted to be suitable for growing in zones 8 to 10 in the USA, and those are the southern states. Looks like this plant wouldn't do well in the UK outside and probably any of our winters would kill it off. But it can also be grown from seed as a fast-growing annual. Or perhaps you have some frost-free greenhouse space?

Is this kidney weed ? (the middle bit of weeds ) if not does anyone know what it is? I thought it wild geranium but it creeps along madly everywhere.
Oh and spot the Russian vine which just appears each year aaargh ! [/IMG] This is a closer image of the leafs but also does anyone know the bright coloured plant - my torts don't touch it but its easy growing and grows in the shingle too. CB [/IMG]

Jonathan sorry missed your post so unlikely it is kidney weed then ! opps. Does anyone know what it is? The torts don't touch it or the bright green weed either but they will desecrate the dandelions and clover. Sorry if you've been asked this a trillion times ! CB

Some of what you have got there looks like this plant - which is a good one to have
http://www.bbc.co.uk/gardening/plant...ges/4747.shtml Or it might be wood violet!
