I actually pray that none of my eggs hatch when my husband is home alone. He needs a flipping manual and he NEVER reads instructions to anything!!!

These are the two hatchlings that had the twisted shells a couple of days ago. One of the shells is slightly twisted still. Is there still time for it to straighten out. I have moved them from the incubator today. X x x hugs x x x |

My little Herman came out egg shaped, but yes I think it will straighten out a bit more. They both look lovely.

Look at her lovely chilled out leg, aww! 18-20 gram Hermans? Think mine must be dwarfs @ 6-8 grams! I have one who has a slightly lopsided shell like this

one thing, rather than moving any egg back to upright try proping it up with whatever its sitting in, ie I used tissue for mine and made a 'nest' for each egg so it didn't move, the same could be done for vermiculite etc. I don't know what if any harm can be done by turning them back but we are told to mark the top and not to move an egg more than needed or keep it the same way up if it has to be moved. Making a 'nest' for it makes sure it stays where it should be.

I get more excited about Tortoise babies than my friends and family babies. isn't that awful. Stellanne, Ive said it before all those who hatch must have nerves of steel. They are beautiful. (twisted shell isn't that a name of a group?). CB
