You must be very excited and have had fun setting up for your new tort You'll find (I do ) that your tort will go to some plces and not others, sort of instructions as to changes he/she might want Possibly your upright coloured log roll may throw too much shadow over the left hand side of the pen More photos please once your new tort arrives

Substrate is sterilized top soil, I've taken the colourful thing down now

You can put the coloured logs back up as your better off adding a regular fluorscent light in front of the hide.

That's a good idea. It would certainly brighten up the table.
I use Arcadia D3 12% strip lights and just normal bulbs as a heat source.
