Not sure about the compact ones...

Do you have one of these now, Shaz or just looking at them for a possible purchase??

IMO, you might want to consider a strip rather than one of these Shaz, the compact UV bulbs arent that great. Its condensing the UV output into a small area - rather than a strip which would spread it around a much greater area. Add a reflector to the strip and again, it increases the output.
Or...maybe consider a combined UV/heat bulb??
Good luck xx

Hi Shaz Im pretty sure they need changing after 6 months. Also make sure its close to the basking bulb as has Yuna has said the UV doesnt have a "large spread", so should ideally they be close together.

The other two have got the strip lights in them and i do plan on changing it to a strip light too. They make the whole table brighter. I dont like the combine bulbs. Me and them dont seem to get on.
