So it's a month or so on and he's now 53.4g, up by 10g.
I'm a bit worried about his shell, is this normal? I know stars are more pyramidy than others but they are definitely getting more prominent. I feed him a fairly balanced diet, greens, dried weeds and flowers, occasional prickly pear and the pellets ocassionally. |

What a gorgeous little star! Do you spray his viv at all? Increasing the humidity should help keep him smooth.

I do not have the experience to comment on the shell. I bought a combined thermometer/hygrometer after advice from CB. Humidity is fine for mine, but it was reassuring to be able to check and monitor.
Lovely pictures again. Jan |

Percy is doing great, he's doubled in weight since we got him!!
We want to start introducing new food to him as he must getting bored of the regular selection we give him. I'm still also nervous of giving him weeds from our garden or anywhere else tbh weed killer etc worries me. A lot of online articles are contradictory, which is bloody annoying. For instance one says mushrooms but what bloody mushrooms lol Is there any reliable lists of food that is readily available to me? Thanks Ant |

Percy is simply stunning still isn't he. I don't know about nutriention for indian stars but the below web site may cover it somewhere. Not sure about mushrooms ? its fungi after all and how would that be absorbed into the system? But yes lots of conflicting advice and I tend to stick to the well regarded sites like SW !
Super little thing, post more photos if time ! http://www.thetortoisetable.org.uk/s...ise_home_1.asp
