Default First time out to explore

Haven't got around to making an outdoor enclosure yet as only had my two 6 month old horsfields for a few week's, but couldn't resist letting them out in the garden. I must admit they absolutely loved it.
Can you spot the runaway Stanley

It's been a beautiful day for getting the torts outside.
I bet you had your work cut out trying to keep a good eye on them.

Don't ever turn your back on them they'll be gone in a flash and its very hard to find them again especially in long grass. They can be right under your feet and you'd not see them, we've done many fingertip searches and those were in small enclosures with short grass.

They are lovely, and don't underestimate how good they are at hiding!!! I'm the same, I have had on hands and knees fingertip searches in an enclosure for poppy. She actually dug a hole under moss with the moss back in place on top!!! I don't mind admitting I was in tears that time because i thought something had got her!!!!

Aw the wee tiny things! They DEMAND an outdoor enclosure now they have tasted 'freedom'. It's time to get down to the local DIY superstore David.
