I'm looking forward to seeing how you get on with it as we're getting our new desktop next month. Although we have Windows 8 on one of the laptops, I barely use it. I love my desktop too much. I'm half dreading the change - I don't like change!!

I'm with you on that Emma, I hate change. Kian was supposed to be getting a new desktop but got upset today when we said we were getting it. We have now had to postpone it until he gets used to the idea or his computer gives up, whichever comes first. Decided to get him and Gary a new bike instead, so they can go riding in the summer, Kians bike is getting too small for him. He's shooting up like a weed at the moment.

My eldest is all legs and arms with muscles on but a slim body in the middle!! He doesn't seem to fill out enough to keep up with his growth!

The new bikes sound good. Father and son time together.

Well, I've had a stay of execution. They didn't have the laptop I was after in store so we had to order it for delivery Friday.

Kian seems to be going through a podgy belly stage with moobs. He is skinny everywhere else. Looks quite odd, He seems to have the female hormone taking hold at the moment. I remember my mum taking my youngest brother to the GP because he had lumps under his nipples, she thought he had cancer and he was the golden boy so had do see the doc. Turned out it was just part of puberty, he felt so stupid. I think Kian is at the same stage. He is growing out of everything right now. I don't want to buy any long trousers as he will be in shorts for the summer soon and when it turns cold again he will have grown out of them without wearing them.

Oh good grief, this is like torture. I've lost my favourites button. It was on the right of the screen at the top, I right clicked it to see if there was an import function, clicked something that said "toolbar" and it dissapeared, I suspect never to be seen again.
Dearest darling hubby is no help, he just said, "I haven't got windows 8 so I don't know how to use it, you'll have to figure it out". Even Kian ha abandoned me, he played with the camera thing for a while and declaerd he has no idea.
See you all in few months when I've figured out this conundrum.

Ha ha. I was the same when I first had it. Is it a touch screen laptop? If so, you will find it much easier to use as a touch screen
