thanks for replying, it doesn't matter which he/she is as I'll only ever have the one but Bolder squeeks and wiggles the bum when I scratch the back shell and my female Ibera used to behave like that. Thats why I wondered if I could have a little girl

Ann the anal scuttes are in a v form and are "narrow". This suggests female. If it was male the scuttes would be more of a "U" shape.

Looks female if you look at the front of the tort at the gular scutes under the chin boys become more pronounced as they get older!
