Help :'(
I have just gone to feed my 2 and decided to flip the slate over and there was 100's of tiny bugs :'( never ever noticed them before, ive picked a few other bits up but they just seem to be on the slate! Checked Dex and Dar over and none on them 2 or any bites!
Anybody had this b4?? Any advice?? Im all itchy :'( |

I'd do a substrate change and disinfect the slate Terr. Any bugs on the tortoise?

Nope checked them all over and nothing, looked in beds and none there. Wondering if they could of been on some food n breed really quick :/

I use 100% topsoil. Theres no damp coz i stopped spraying my substrate coz I got mould! They where about 1mm in lengh, redish brown n disgusting lol. Ive done a full substrate change and milton'd EVERYTHING! bathed Dexta and Darwin and threw the food away! I HATE bugs! I almost had a heart attack haha

Springtails are beneficial. The help keep the enclosure clean and eat mold spores.
