Just to make sure
I really hope you can help me on this subject.
I have recently come back from a very expensive shopping trip for my torts with loads of flower seeds. Just hope now that they will be ok for them to eat. This is the list i have brought for them: Hollyhock ( larged flowered mixed ) Dahlia ( Dwarf border mixed ) Alyssum ( snow carpet ) Petunia ( Superb Mixed ) Viola ( fancy shades mixed ) Aster ( colour carpet mixed ) Pansy Swiss Giants Mixed ) Zinnia ( Bright spark mix ) Nemesia ( tapestry mix ) Californian poppy ( Eschscholiza-vivid mix ) They will be forming part of my torts diet of weeds pre packed salad and komodo pellets. The pellets are only feed once a week Thanks for taking the time to read. Fi x

The only one I'm not sure of is Zinnia, and Alssyum, the rest are 100% edible, I feed these myself.
I can't find an entry for the Alssyum on the tortoisetable website, but the Zinnia is safe to feed. Remember to thoroughly wash out the roots and replant in unfertilised compost/soil and grow on for a bit before feeding. Last edited by TortBabe; 03-09-2011 at 05:51 PM. |
