New Tortoises on the Galapagos
This is really interesting, they are introducing 39 giant tortoises back to the Galapagos (still nothing for poor old Lonesome George though). The second link tells how they are tracking them and finding that the torts are quickly returning to their normal behaviour.
Wish I could be there doing something like that! http://www.emagazine.com/view/?5189 http://www.retortoisepinta.blogspot.com/ |

Me too. Was watching Life in Cold Blood again last night and the Galapagos torts were on - it'd be a wonderful place to go! One day............
