Thats a picture of Thor, Nina and Lisa. I have seen him up close and personal and he is all of 30 inches SCL.

Default Sulcatas

While Sulcatas do get big it is not a given. They can have a slow rate of growth just a much as they can have a fast rate of growth. I have a 10 year old who only started growing quickly when I place it outdoors. It was about 2 lbs at 6 years old and is about 10 lbs now.

These are pictures that I like to show for size comparison and some behavior factors when dealing with Sulcatas. There are quite a few people in the UK keeping Sulcatas very successfully. There are even a few breeders. This is a very adaptable tortoise and if you are prepared to deal with the eventual size their care is extremely rewarding. They have a very unique personality.
