Tiggy is moving on

I have had to find Tiggy a new home, and this Saturday he goes to his new home, it's not easy to let one of my torts go, in fact it's quite hard, but Tiggy is definitely a boy and I don't have the space to make a separate enclosure. But I've been very lucky, just by chance a friend of a friend was looking for a tortoise, she is very keen and we have met a couple of times, she came here to be interviewed and I have been to her house. In fact she's perfect. And we are now friends. So I will probably see Tiggy often and may even look after him when the new owner goes away. But Saturday won't be easy, I will try not to cry and make fool of myself, but I don't hold out much hope. Wish me luck !

Good luck on Saturday, Suze. I know it'll be hard but at least you will still see him and know he's going to a lovely home. I'm sure Tiggy will enjoy his new home because you've taken so much care in ensuring its a good home for him.

That was well done Suze - I'm sure Tiggy will settle well.

I had to let one of my males go last year. I was OK with it in the end because he went to someone I knew. This person was looking for a male hermanni hermanni for breeding purposes so I was able to promise a good time!

Thanks guys, well it's my last day with Tiggy today, tomorrow he goes to his new home, I will be sad, but I will be seeing him again from time to time. On the flip side, I have been very lucky finding such a good home, she is even going to write him into her will ( spelling , not sure )

That's a good idea, then whenever you may miss him you can look at the photo to remind yourself what a lovely home he has.....and of course pop in to see him now and again.
