Well that was a big mistake.
I bought hubby a record player and computer recording gizmo. (you play you old vinyl's through it and you can put them on your Ipod)
What's wrong with that you may ask. Well, My hubby is an 80s pop fan and I hated the 80s music, I am a rock chick. I spent the 80s avoiding the music as much as I could. But now I am being tortured with the most awful music I have ever heard. Aaaaggghhh, it's horrible and he has so many. On the upside, the kids are fascinated, although they agree that the music is rubbish.

Oh dear Wendy - have you got Rick Astley and the Stock, Aitken & Waterman hits being pumped out?
Surely he has a bit of Bon Jovi or Def Leppard to keep you happy?

No Emma, the closest he's got is one Queen album. He's been playing Ultravox singles that I've never even heard before, something about power of the wind? And Japanese boy, by whoever. oh my goodness, it's painful, he's even got the yosser hughs song gissa job, or something? Madness and Toyah also feature heavily.
I need ear plugs.

I was never a fan of Toyah or Limahl....I can tolerate a bit of Madness though.

Really Lynne? It sounds like cats with their tails trapped in a vice.
You have to tolerate a bit of madness just to live in my House Emma.

Nothing wrong with Madness "one step beyond" or "our house" Wendy. I'll be right over and we can crank it up for you

I hated the 80's stuff too apart from one or two. I think the 80's was when bands stopped playing 'real' instuments and replaced guitars and drums with electronic nonsense
I also hate 90's type manufactured bands like the Spice Girls and all those other similar ones but in the 2000's there has been a few bands come back on the scene who play real instruments. Can't beat the rolling stones though, still going 50 years on |

I suppose anything becomes bearable if you're force fed it for long enough.
