5-6 years old, can't remember exactly. These turtles hibernate themselves from November-April so slow growers.

I have found, that if you don't hibernate them for several years, they'll grow at a much faster rate like 3 to 4 times faster.

I'm sure they would but my three toed are the wildest, least enviromentally controlled species I keep. I have Ornate box turtles that at 3 years old are larger than these 5-6 year old animals. My ornates have a maximum of 8 weeks hibernation and a far more controlled environment as they are less hardy than the three toed. I'm in no rush to get them big, fast. They are all in perfect health, they just have a shorter season. A wild 3 toed wouldn't be mature until 11-15 years old.
